Hello, Art Minded Mixers!
Welcome to September … the Fall leaves, the shorter days, and the PSLs (if you are a fan, lol!) I am Collin and I am the creative brain behind this mix. I love creating art, printing my own papers, and teaching people how to love making and creating as much as I do.
I came by my love of all things paper through a prior business as a scrapbook store owner in the 1990s and was already infatuated with color and beautiful design. I loved teaching classes, and years before I was a professional picture framer and framed so many beautiful pieces of art for all kinds of artists.
Now I am rolling all of that up into In the Mix Mixed Media and bringing it to you. Come on this adventure with me and let’s discover our inner child together just waiting to use all the stuff that makes a mess and makes us happy!
I have two in-person Gel Printing workshop dates at On the Hill Gallery In Yorktown, Virginia, for Gel Printing Basics, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, 11am – 1pm, and again on Saturday, October 4, 2025, 11 am – 1pm. $55 per person; materials provided. Contact On the Hill directly to sign-up.
I am also in Gloucester Arts on Main Annual Juried Show starting on Friday, October 3, 2025 with a reception between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm, running until November 1, 2025. I hope you can stop in and see all the wonderful creatives who will be part of the exhibit. See you soon!
